Original deluxe (this information is based on a former ebay auction, which sold a copy with binding identical, although the copy of ebay was of the numbered version and limited) half cloth bound edition, with raised bands, gold title spine, and with top edge gilt. Front cover of the softback edition + 11 leaves photographs (8 before the Title page, and 3 between Előszó page and Prologue page) + 582 pages (really 614, as each of the 145-160 pages have in addition another page with the same numbering/a and another with the same numbering/b) + 2 unnumbered publisher pages. 23,4 x 16,5 cm. In Hungarian, with all 105 games of the Main Tournament commented in German (in pages 200-201, 222-230, 233-241, 244-252, 255-262, 265-273, 276-283, 286-292, 296-302, 305-312, 315-322, 324-330, 333-341, 343-350, 353-359 and 362-369).

Good: Some defects. Binding frayed and worn in the side edges of marble boards. Some break in the spine. Small cracks in the outer upper corner, on pages 361-368, without affecting the text. Important break in the pages 565-566, affecting very slightly to the text (including photocopy with the full text). To know the approximate condition, please see the photos. All the major defects are photographed.

Was published another book version (L/N 5365) of this Tournament, entirely in German, although much more light with only 122 pages (the book of this auction has 614), and practically only the games commented. In addition, only have 2 photographs (the book of this auction has 11).

Spectacular book on 1924 Győr Tournament, divided in four sections: History, Games, Problems and sundry articles.

1- Very extensive and important section on the origins of chess in Hungary, in the first 160 pages, with numerous tournament crosstables.

2- A great introduction to the tournament (between pages 161-218).

3- Excellent games analysis (between pages 219-387).

4- Very important section of chess problems, a kind of Encyclopedia in alphabetical order, of all kinds of terms relating to the composition of chess problems (between pages 388-501).

5- Pages 526-593 contain a complete list of Hungarian Chess literature (122 items).
