As new: In completely new condition, with only 2 very small ink annotations (page 1 of January/February of 1987, and page 5 of May of 1992). With the edges of the pages dyed with beautiful shades of black, gray and white, and with a placeholder page. With a special dedication on the inside of the front cover.

Beautiful magazine published by the Association of chess of the Penitentiary of Straubing, in collaboration with the inmates. Includes 2 very special numbers: January/February 1984, commemorating the 20 anniversary of the magazine, and April 1992, commemorating the 40 anniversary of the Schachgemeinschaft JVA (Justizvollzugsanstalt) Straubing.

Began to be published in January of 1964, and it is almost certain that currently continues its publication, at least until March 2016: http://www.chess-international.de/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/2016_03-E-Schachpost.pdf .

Up to 1988 were published 10 issues per year, 2 of them doubles (January/February and July/August). In 1988 the double issue July/August moved to August/September.

From 1989 were published 11 issues per year, 1 of them double (August/September).

The individual numbers are 8 pages, and double 12. The number of April 1992 (40 anniversary) has 16.
