The book deals with the endgame King + Bishop versus King with 2, 3 or more Pawns.

The text from the Chapais manuscript, translated in English, with today‘s notation is presented in three chapters on ca 60 pages. The other ca 60 pages take Harrie Grondijs‘ commentary, explanations, introduction and bibliographical index.

Harrie Grondijs wrote many books, his favourite themes are endgame study and the history of chess. I like his books as both the content and form are of high quality. Most of his works are published in low editions, often numbered and signed by the author - this is a reason why Grondijs' books almost do not appear in the market.

These signed editions are often sold out immediately when they are published. I am now listing a small collection of 3 Harrie Grondijs' works, all starting with EUR 1.00 only. All of them are limited editions (to 35, 35 and 37 numbered copies) and all are signed by the author.

So far I know, all of them are OUT OF PRINT - I assume that some of these books will be not available in the market for years. Please visit my other auctions for description of other books.
