Slovensky sach 1941, issues 1-15 (=complete volume 2 of the First series). Bratislava, 1941. Loose issues 1-15 (=all published in volume 2). 108 pages (paginated 17-124). Size 21.5 cm. In Slovak. 100 grams. Not in LN. Not in KB Hague. Not in Soukup. Not in CPL. Not in di Felice.
Condition: Issues no. 13 and 15 are only in a photocopy, else Good or better: light/some general signs of use, no major flaws. Occasionally pencil or crayon marks in the problem section (nothing serious).
The Slovensky sach is the first magazine in Slovak language. Editor-in-chief was Mikulas MILAN, the magazine includes sections on practical chess, problems, endgame studies, news and correspondence chess. Some of editors were Max Ujtelky, Vladimir Rohacek.
The magazine is missing in the LN 1955 catalogue, and does not appear in other public chess libraries worldwide. I did not find it in the OCLC system.
The magazine is rare and almost does not appear in the market. It is for the first time when this volume is in our offer. In another auction, we are listing volume 1 for 1940.
In 1941-1942 was published different magazine with the same name (something like Slovensky sach Series 2) - we are also listing the complete run of this Second series in another auction.
