Selected, annotated and arranged by himself. Edited, with a biographical sketch and a brief history of blindfold chess. London, New York, Bombay, Longmans, Green, 1899. With 1 portrait and many diagrams. VII, 1 p., 331 pages. Original cloth with gold embossed vignette (rook) on front cover. The successful English grandmaster Joseph Henry Blackburne (1841 - 1924) played in many tournaments between 1862 and 1914 and was nicknamed "black death". L/N 3036. Betts 29 - 15. 

Condition: Publishers original binding. Some wear to spine, with some defects. Some cracks inside near the spine. Foxing on endpaper and a few pages. Paper yellowed.
