Praha, publisher not stated, 1943. Orig. softcover. 54, (2) pages. 4 photos on covers. Size 14 (tall) x 20 cm. In Czech. The weight 70 grams. LN 5636, Mokry 142, Soukup 91.

Good: spine torn ca 1 cm at the top and bottom. Covers slightly stained and a little worn. Pen signature of previous owner on first blank page. Internally OK with no writings.

Shared winners were Aljechin and Junge (8,5 of 11), ahead of Foltys, Opocensky, Zita, Kottnauer, Rejfir, Hromadka etc., 12 players round robin. All games are present, all briefly annotated in words by master Prucha.

With 4 photos on the cover - a) Duras, b) Alekhine and Junge (on inner front cover), c) group photo (inner back cover).

The tournament was great success for Klaus Junge, possibly the biggest chess talent of the time. But Prague 1942 was unfortunately his last tournament, he died in age of 21 during last days of the WWS in 1945.

The book is published as a stencilled typescript on cheap paper as well as most other Czech wws editions. The tournament was organized by the chess club Novomestsky in Prague in honour of Oldrich Duras' 60th birthday.
