Bill Hook: Hooked on Chess. A Memoir.
William Edward Höök (1925-2010) had Finnish parents, but born in USA. 18 years old he was a soldier in World War II. In the 1960-ies he moved to the British Virgin Islands and took part in 17 chess olympiads 1968-2008. In 1980 he won a gold medal for the best percentage at board 1! Later the rules changed to best performance rating.
Hook was also a painter and photographer. The book contains a lot of his own photos.
191 pp paperback. Alkmaar, New In Chess 2008. Condition: VG.
