Good or better: light signs of use. A few light spots (on Frantisek Blatny’s suit).

From the left: Miroslav Filip (board 1), Julius Kozma (board 25), Antonin Vyslouzil (reserve), Frantisek Blatny (board 3), Josef Marsalek (board 4), Ludek Pachman (trainer).

Czechoslovakia won the bronze medal.

Biographical data:

Miroslav Filip (1928-2009), Czech GM, one of world's best chess players around 1960, World Championship Candidate 1956 and 1962. Multiple Czechoslovak chess champion.

Julius Kozma (1929-2009), Slovak IM, one of the best Slovak players for years. Noted chess writer, journalist, author of several books. 

Frantisek Blatny (1933-2015), Czech Master, Czechoslovak co-champion in 1964, father of GM Pavel Blatny.

Josef Marsalek (born 1935), strong player, several times participated in the Czechoslovak championship. He was a member of the team, which won Student World championship in 1954 – his result was 5 of 5. Later he stopped active play.

Ludek Pachman (1924-2003), Czech GM, in 1940s and 1950s the best Czechoslovak player together with M. Filip, 7x Czechoslovak champion, German champion. Noted chess writer. He won 2 games against Bobby Fischer in 1959.
