The Chess Player's Chronicle Vol 3, 1843 :
Volume III. London 1843, Editor Howard Staunton. 416+[viii] pages with diagrams and index. Octavo (8 3/4" x 5 3/4") bound in period cloth with blind stamped covers with gilt insignia, and gilt decoration and lettering to spine. Title in red and green. Linde-N 6123, Betts 7-1.
Condition: Binding with strong wear and soil. In my opinion the binding has been repaired a long time ago with the original cloth. First endpaper is getting already a little bit loose on the upper part, but still in place. Title page browned with slight soil. First endpaper and the title page are already slighty brittle. Pages 105-108 have a small ~1 cm tear on the upper edges but no affection to the text. But otherwise inside nice and clean. Please take a careful look at the attached pictures, these are part of the description. Overall Assessment = Still Good!
Postage EUR (insurance included) : Austria € 3,90; Germany € 9,90; other EU countries € 12,90; Non-EU countries please ask
I combine shipping – you always pay just real postage! The packing materials are free.
I send with the so called "Paketmarke" (for further information https://www.post.at/privat_versenden_paket_paketmarke.php) which is in general the most cost effective and reliable way to send parcels in Austria. One feature is that the shipment costs are defined via the the longest and the shortest side of the parcel. The weight isn´t important although it is limited to 31,5 kg. The parcel is also insured up to € 500,-.
Therefore if you buy more than 1 lot and the books fit into the same parcel, the shipment costs will be the same as for 1 book.
Important : Please wait with payment until you get my confirmation email, as the shipping costs have to be calculated.
