With many diagrams. 396 pages, 1 leaf. Original half-linen. The Chemnitz physician Eduard Birgfeld (1887-1939) took over the management of the problem association "Schwalbe" in 1928 and successfully worked for the problem cause. Few parts of the work are in German and English. The author wants to present an orderly survey on the extensive presentation of the idea on the "Self mate". In the "Self mate", a variant of "Märchenschachs", White forces Black to mate him in "n" moves. L/N 2666.
