Holesov, authors' self-edition, (1940). Orig. softcover. 52 pages, 6 photos in text. In Czech. Size 23 cm. The weight 70 grams. Published (400) copies. Not in Soukup; Not in LN; Mokry 131. 

About Good: covers a little worn and somewhat faded at the top and near spine. Spine has ca 1 cm tear ot the top. Paper label pasted on title (picture 2) – previous owner won this book as a prize in a local tournament of chess club Vitkovice Ostrava. Top corners of some pages have light traces after folding (as in picture 4). Text is OK with no writings. 

Tournament book of the 4th championship of the Moravian-Silesian county (part of the Czech Republic) held at Ostrava in 1940, written by brothers Jan and Miloslav Foltys.

The book starts with 2 articles on the 10-year history of the county. Follow 44 selected games of the Master tournament (of 66 played) - all games are annotated. The winner was Jan Foltys 9 points, ahead of Jaroslav Sajtar 8 and Karel Hromadka 7,5 points, 12 players round-robin. 3 crosstables and summary by Jan Foltys at the end.

The book was published in low edition of 400 copies. Number of copies is not stated in the book but it is known from an advertising leaflet, which was issued separately (note: the leaflet is not part of the auction).
