Ceske listy sachove 1899 (volume 4).
Praha, 1899. Contemporary binding, spine lettered. (VI) = title, index + 188 pages. In Czech. Size 23.5 cm. The weight 420 grams. LN 5983, Soukup 2, Mokry 234.
Fair to good: binding is rubbed. Rest of older paper sticker on the front cover, the same sticker on front poaste-down. From the library of the UJCS (Czechoslovak Chess Union - see printing on spine), later from the library of master Josef Louma – property of J. Louma handwritten in Czech on front free endpaper. Pages 49-64 a little wrinkled (as shown in picture 4), some other signs of use but generally OK, with no writings.
Complete volume with title/index, no plates were published. Title is bound in the beginning while the (4) index pages are at the end.
Ceske listy sachove was the first printed Czech chess magazine, published in 1896-1899 by Jan (Johann) Kotrc, in 1899 together with J. V. Stefanydes.
