DESCRIPTION

London 1862 :

Suhle, Berthold. (Ed.) The Chess Congress of London in 1862, together with the Chess Congress of Bristol in 1861. I. Theil: The Great Chess tournament in London in 1862. Berlin, J. Springer, 1864. With many diagrams. VII, 80 pages. L/N 5191. The tournament winner was Anderssen ahead of L. Paulsen and Owen. Steinitz, Löwenthal, and Blackburne also participated.

Condition: Simple private binding with the name tag of the previous owner. Mr. Lehmitz was a German Chess master who participated in the German Championship Weidenau 1947. The title is handwritten with ballpen on the spine.  Paper browned. Inside clean. Overall Assessment = Still Good!

Postage EUR (insurance included) : Austria € 3,90; Germany € 9,90; other EU countries € 12,90; Non-EU countries please ask

I combine shipping – you always pay just real postage! The packing materials are free.

I send with the so-called "Paketmarke" (for further information https://www.post.at/privat_versenden_paket_paketmarke.php) which is, in general, the most cost-effective and reliable way to send parcels in Austria. One feature is that the shipment costs are defined via the longest and the shortest side of the parcel. The weight isn´t important although it is limited to 31,5 kg. The parcel is also insured up to € 500,-.

  1. PM 045 = longest and the shortest side of the parcel are added max. 45 cm) GER=€9,90, other EU = €12,90
  2. PM 070 = longest and the shortest side of the parcel are added max. 70 cm) GER=€14,90, other EU = €17,90
  3. PM 120 = longest and the shortest side of the parcel are added max. 120 cm) GER=€19,90, other EU = €22,90

Therefore if you win more than 1 lot and the books fit into the same parcel, the shipping costs will be the same as for 1 book.

Important: Please wait with payment until you get my confirmation email, as the shipping costs have to be calculated.

P.S.: Bibliographical data taken from the KWABC (http://www.kwabc.org/) database maintained by Mr. Per Skjoldager (PS).
