Poor / dust jacket not issued: binding somewhat worn, rear cover much stained (picture 2). Lacks first leaf where should be the book title in French. Lacks plate with Krylenko's portrait, which should be between pages 16 and 17. Also lacks plate between pages 160 and 161, which should contain photos of Kan, Rjumin, Eliskases and Flohr - this plate lacks in almost all copies of this book. Otherwise usual signs of use, text is complete inclusive Krylenko's preface (picture 4). Pages are usually browned by age but clean and with no writings.

The winner was Capablanca 13 of 18, ahead of Botvinnik, Flohr, Lilienthal, Ragozin, Lasker, Kan, Loewenfisch, Rjumin, Eliskases, 10 players, double-round robin.

All 90 games of the tournament are annotated in great detail, crosstables, index of openings.
