This later 1927 edition of the 1898 original is not mentioned in Bett's Bibliography, the LN catalogue, the KB Library or the Cleveland library.
Very good red cloth binding, bookplate and inscription on endpapers.
17 pages have notes in red ink, all other pages are clean.
The book mainly consists of 246 chess-board diagrams illustrating the author's mathematical and geometrical ideas relating to chess tactics.
