GERMAN EDITION OF THE FAMOUS BINET BOOK
RARE AND SCARCE
Binet, Alfred: "DAS GEDÄCHTNIS DER SCHACHSPIELER". Eine psychologische Studie über das Blindspiel von Alfred Binet. Aus dem Französischen übersetzt. Sonderabdruck aus der "Berliner Schachzeitung", I. Jahrgang.
Berlin, Verlag von Max Günther, (1897). Private (or original?? I do not know) cardboard edition. Title page + 102 pages + Index page + Publisher page + 1 loose publisher leaf. 21,4 x 15,3. In German.
Good: Some spots on the covers, which are somewhat worn. The front cover has a tiny hole in the lower part, which goes through some pages, although it does not affect the text, allowing a correct reading. Inside pages are clean and without writings (except some numbers written in pencil on page 13, probably erasable), with some normal slight browning in few pages. Remains of any label (or similar) on the back of the front cover. On the Title page there is some notation and a signature that I can not identify.

This German edition is actually the translation of the second part of Binet's book, where he talks about blind chess. The first part about memory prodigies, not related to chess, is not present in this edition.
In the Klittich - Pfankuch 70 auction (June 2016) it was sold for 258,41 EUR (taxes included).
