the 4th World Student Team championship
3 Czechoslovak players, from the left:
F. Blatny + J. Kozma + M. Filip
photo 12.5 x 8.5 cm
Good or better: light general signs of use, brown stain on the back.
Biographical data:
Frantisek Blatny (1933-2015), Czech Master, Czechoslovak co-champion in 1964, father of GM Pavel Blatny.
Julius Kozma (1929-2009), Slovak IM, one of the best Slovak players for years. Noted chess writer, journalist, author of several books.
Miroslav Filip (1928-2009), Czech GM, the best Czechoslovak player in 1950s, one of world's best chess players around 1960, World Championship Candidate 1956 and 1962. GM Filip is also well known as arbiter (Karpov - Korchnoi, Baguio 1978, women world championships etc).
