Wiener Schachzeitung 1948 (volume 36) + 1949 (volume 37).
Wien, 1948-1949. Contemporary half-cloth with no lettering. Size 23 cm. 560 grams. In German. LN 5957.
volume 1948: nos. 1-6 (July-December = complete); 176 pages
volume 1949: nos. 1-8 (January-August = complete); 208 pages
Good: book title handwritten on spine in a short form. Binding is OK, pages occasionally slightly stained (nothing serious), with no writings.
Usual contents of the magazine - news, articles, games, problems.
Wiener Schachzeitung ran from 1898-1916, 1923-1938, 1948-1949. The last attempt to refresh the famous magazine (especially the "First series" in 1898-1916 is considered as one of the best chess magazines ever) began in July 1948 and ended in August 1949. That is why volume 1948 has only 6 issues and volume 1949 has 8 issues.
Both volumes are complete - title- and index pages were not issued.
