Excellent: Only has the defects of the discolored spine of the dust jacket, and 2 small strokes in the upper margin of the binding. Otherwise as new condition.
Baruch Lender lived from 1913 to 1994 and was a very productive composer of studies and chess problems. This book contains a fairly extensive biography and 148 examples of his abilities. The compilers are three Israeli GMs from the world of chess composition. Lender started this hobby at a relatively late age and his first thought was published in 1946 in the Palestine Post, an Israeli newspaper. Many recurring themes are self-mat, reflex mat and help mat. A small part in the back of the book is written in Hebrew, and therefore, you have to read it beginning at the end.
