Good to very good: The most important defect is the condition of the binding, which, although relatively good, has some breakage in the spine, a strong browning (in the photos appears clearer) on the spine and on the edges of the covers, and a couple of small lines with blue ink on the part bottom of the front cover near the spine. Stamp with blue ink, with the word "ALMACEN" on the Title page. Otherwise, inside in very good condition.

Linde - N. 2299. Regarding this classification, included in the Linde - N. Problems section, I preferred to include it in the Biographies section of my Auction, because despite being composed of the book by 2 equally important parts (MAESTROS LATINOAMERICANOS Y FINALES ARTÍSTICOS), only reference appears on the front cover to the biographical section.

All books, including this one, published by Hans Cohn in Guatemala are rare, scarce and difficult to obtain!!

The book, after Title page and Foreword, is divided into 2 parts:

PART 1: MAESTROS LATINOAMERICANOS (Pages 13-69).

I - ARAIZA EN GUATEMALA (Pages 13-38). Undoubtedly, the most interesting section of the book, dedicated to the Mexican Master Araiza, since it is the most extensive of the 4 biographical sketches, and above all, because there is no book about Araiza. I, at least, do not know.

II - CARLOS TORRE (Pages 39-45).

III - CAPABLANCA (Pages 46-60).

IV - MORPHY, EL MISTERIOSO (Pages 61-69).

PART 2: FINALES ARTÍSTICOS (Pages 71-124).

The last 4 pages are advertising of the book "LANCES HUMORÍSTICOS".
