Original Scoresheets from Bogoljubow - Wendel match 1920.
The match between Bogoljubow and Wendel was contested over six games and only by winning the sixth and final game was Bogoljubow able to draw the match(+1 =4 -1). This encounter was not mentioned in Tidskrift för Schack or in any other magazine to our knowledge, despite the very promising result for the young Swedish player. Wendel annotated a game in the chess column of Svenska Dagbladet and Ernst Jacobson published Wendel’s win in his column in the short lived Dagens Tidning.
This lot includes 5 (of 6) scoresheets from the match in Wendels own hand with scarce annotations. It also includes the pamphlet published by SKS no 62.
Condition: Scoresheets are yellowed.
