"If You Must Play Chess" by Arnold Denker. Published in hardback by McKay in 1947. 190pp. First Edition. Please note that the book is the First US edition and the dustjacket is the UK edition belonging to Pitman & Co. The book is in Good+ condition. The binding is tight and the internal pages are very clean and unmarked apart from the residue of four sellotape marks on the front and rear endpapers plus some noticeable browning and speckling to the page edge block. Its dustjacket is in Good condition. There has been a neat repair done to the top and bottom of the spine area to camouflage small areas of loss and there is a small area of loss to the rear panel (see scan). The dustjacket is protected by a removable see-through sleeve. Inscription free. Games are in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Approx.unpacked weight: 270g. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK: £3.50. Postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra. Please ask me for details.
