"CHESS, Volume 27 plus Index" edited by B.H.Wood. Published in softback by CHESS, Sutton Coldfield in 1961/62. 396pp. Magazine numbers 395-418. First Edition. All 18 magazines plus Index for the Volume 27 of this institution of UK chess. All the magazines are in at least Good condition apart from Number 399 which has a tear through all the pages and the covers that extends from the top cover through about 50mm of the issue. Some of the staples show signs of rust but all-in-all these are a good reading set of this great magazine, packed with all the chess news of the era, including Fischer's remarkable victory at the 1962 Interzonal in Stockholm.
