"CHESS, 1952" edited by B.H.Wood. Published in hardback by CHESS, Sutton Coldfield in 1952. First Edition. 246pp. Magazine numbers 196-207. All 12 magazines of this institution of UK chess for the calendar year of 1952. Part volume 17 and part volume 18. The binding is a clean, blue colour. The gilt lettering on the spine is faded but still visible (see scan). The page edge block has age browning but no foxing. No index. All the magazines are in at least Good condition and are inscription free. There is the very occasional blemish or short closed tear but basically all the magazines are in good, readable condition. Magazine covers are all bound in. There is a heavy vertical crease on each magazine, presumably due to the magazine being posted that way back in 1952. Games are in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Approx.unpacked weight: 685g. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK: £4.00. Postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra. Please ask me for details.
