"The British Chess Magazine, 1949". Published in hardback by Isaac Pitman in 1949. First Edition. 424pp. The volume is in Very Good condition and has clearly been well cared for over the years. With index. There are very minor faults to note such as the browning of the internal pages but this will the case with all volumes of the BCM in this era, due to the problems of paper production so soon after WW2. The page edge block is clean (albeit lightly tanned, from age only) and the internal pages are inscription free. The boards are very clean and the binding is tight. The gilt lettering has faded with age. Published without a dustjacket. Games are in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Approx.unpacked weight: 395g. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK: £3.50. Postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra. Please ask me for details.
