"Chess the Hard Way!" by D.A.Yanofsky. Published in hardback by Isaac Pitman in 1953. First Edition. 149pp. The book is in Very Good overall condition for its age. The book is tightly bound and stands straight. There is no foxing to the page edge block (although there is very mild evidence of age/handling) and the internal pages are all very clean. Inscription free. The dustjacket is in Good condition. It has two tiny areas of loss to the extremities plus a couple of very small closed tears and mild creasing plus mild scuffing. These depredations are entirely consistent with age and handling over the years. The dustjacket also has the residue of a sticker on the front panel (see scan). It is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve. Games are in English descriptive notation. A scarce and sought after chess book, especially with its dustjacket.
