"H.E. Atkins - Doyen of British Chess Champions" by R.N Coles. Published in hardback by Isaac Pitman in 1952. First Edition. 144pp. The book is in Good+ overall condition for its age. The book is tightly bound and stands straight. There is light foxing to the page edge block (heaviest of the top edge, as usual). The internal pages are all very clean and unmarked. Inscription free. The dustjacket is in Good condition. It has two tiny areas of loss to the spine of the spine area that have been neatly camouflaged with colour paper placed behind the jacket (see scan). As to be expected from a book of this age, the dustjacket also has some light scuff marks and specks to note. These minor depredations are entirely consistent with age and handling over the years. The dustjacket is now protected by a superior 'Gaylord' removable see-through sleeve. Games are in English descriptive notation. A scarce and sought after chess book, especially with its dustjacket. Further scanned images are available on request. Approx.unpacked weight: 190g. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK: £3.00. Postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra. Please ask me for details.
