DESCRIPTION

"Chess and Chessmasters" by G. Ståhlberg. Published in hardback by Bell and Sons in 1955. First Edition. 128pp. The book is in Good+ overall condition for its age. The book is tightly bound and stands straight. There is light foxing and age discoloration the page edge block (heaviest of the top edge, as usual). The internal pages are all clean and unmarked apart from the very occasional small blemish or speck. Inscription free. The dustjacket is also in Good+ condition. It has two miniscule areas of loss to the spine to note. As to be expected from a book of this age, the dustjacket also has some light scuff marks and specks on it. There is also a small (approx.25 mm) closed tear on the front panel. These minor depredations are entirely consistent with age and handling over the years. The dustjacket is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve. Games are in English descriptive notation. A scarce and sought after chess book, especially with its dustjacket. Further scanned images are available on request. Approx.unpacked weight: 190g. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK: £3.00. Postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra. Please ask me for details.
