DESCRIPTION

Two Chess Endgame titles: "Bishop v. Knight Endings" and "Rook v. Minor Piece Endings" both by Yuri Averbakh. Published in hardback by Batsford in 1976 and 1978, respectively. Both First UK Editions. 165pp + 162pp. The BvN book is in Good condition. The binding is tight and the book stands straight. It is inscription free but has some evidence of handling to the page edge block. There are also a few  small specks of discolouration on the first few pages but these quickly peter out. The dustjacket is in Very Good condition with just a little age related fading to note. The RvMP book is in Very Good condition and looks unread. It has very minor damage to a single double page where a sharp object has landed on the page edge block but this is hardly noticeable. The dustjacket is similar to the BvN one, namely VG. Both book's dustjackets are now protected by removable see through sleeves. Positions in both books are in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Approx.unpacked weight: 680g. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK: £4.00. Postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra. Please ask me for details.
