Praha, Kotva, 1962. Later common private cloth with no lettering. Mimeographed on cheap paper, 3 leaves of bibliography, (2), 194 pages. Size 31 cm. The weight 680 grams. In Czech.
About Good: light/some general wear, all the leaves have two archive holes at spine, not affecting the text. Some diagrams or parts of text may be somewhat indistinct due to low quality of printing - but all is readable, it is a way how the book was issued.
The title means The Bohemian Two-Mover, the book contains 1,050 two-move problems of various authors in style of the Bohemian chess problem school, all diagrammed with solutions.
Ilja Mikan, 1911-1979, problem composer, writer and collector, was possibly the best expert on the Bohemian chess problem school. However, his work on the Bohemian twomover remains unfinished. He planned to write 12 chapters but he wrote only 5 of them - all what he wrote, is present in this book.
The book was published by Prague chess problem club Kotva = in fact, in Mikan's self-edition.
This copy includes the three bibliography leaves (picture 4), which appear only in part of the edition.
