Problems by my Friends:
White, A. C.: Problems by my Friends. Edited by George Hume and L. H. Jokisch. Stroud, Office of The Chess Amateur, 1931. 251 + (1?) pages + 7 plates. Red cloth. 19 cm. A selection of 185 problems of various types dedicated to Alain C. White on his 50th birthday in 1930. Besides 7 portraits of composers there is one more photo of A. C. White in frontispiece (so ACW has 2 photos in the book). Index of composers. LN 2742. Whyld 39. Betts 32-30. With Christmas slip. Former owners were André Cheron and Lothar Schmid.
Condition: slight wear, upper book edges dusty and little foxing. One small marginalia on page 72. Otherwise inside nice and clean. Overall Assessment = Good to Very Good!
Postage EUR (insurance included): It depends on whether the shipment is made by parcel or registered mail. I try to choose the most cost-effective yet reliable way.
I combine shipping – you always pay just real postage! The packing materials are free.
I send with the so-called "Paketmarke" (for further information https://www.post.at/privat_versenden_paket_paketmarke.php) which is, in general, the most cost-effective and reliable way to send parcels to Austria. One feature is that the shipment costs are defined via the longest and the shortest side of the parcel. The weight isn´t important although it is limited to 31,5 kg. The parcel is also insured up to € 500,-.
Therefore if you win more than 1 lot and the books fit into the same parcel, the shipping costs will be the same as for 1 book.
Important: Please wait with payment until you get my confirmation email, as the shipping costs have to be calculated.
