Variation Play:

W. Jacobs & A.C. White: Variation Play. A Study in the Mechanisms and Relationships of Black Moves in the Two-Move Chess Problems.  Stamford, The Overbrook Press, 1943. 122 pages and 131 diagrams; ed. of 225 copies. L/N 2866; Betts 35 - 7. With a handwritten dedication from R. Cheney to Reuben Fine.

Condition: slight wear to top and lower part of the spine, corners slightly bumped. cover edges with some slight shelf wear. Overall Assessment = Very Good!

Remark: In this auction, all books from the Overbrook series are offered. See my other lots. For pictures in a higher quality of all books, you can look here.

Postage EUR (insurance included): It depends on whether the shipment is made by parcel or registered mail. I try to choose the most cost-effective yet reliable way.

I combine shipping – you always pay just real postage! The packing materials are free.

I send with the so-called "Paketmarke" (for further information which is, in general, the most cost-effective and reliable way to send parcels to Austria. One feature is that the shipment costs are defined via the longest and the shortest side of the parcel. The weight isn´t important although it is limited to 31,5 kg. The parcel is also insured up to € 500,-.

  1. PM 045 = longest and the shortest side of the parcel is added max. 45 cm) GER=€9,90, other EU = €12,90
  2. PM 070 = longest and the shortest side of the parcel is added max. 70 cm) GER=€14,90, other EU = €17,90
  3. PM 120 = longest and the shortest side of the parcel are added max. 120 cm) GER=€19,90, other EU = €22,90

Therefore if you win more than 1 lot and the books fit into the same parcel, the shipping costs will be the same as for 1 book.

Important: Please wait with payment until you get my confirmation email, as the shipping costs have to be calculated.
