DESCRIPTION

"The London Chess Congress, 1946" by E.G.R.Cordingley. Published (and SIGNED) in hardback by the author in 1946. First Edition. Approx.92pp. Limited Edition #31. Betts (25-167) states that the limited edition of this book ran to 270 copies. The book is in Good minus condition. The internal pages are largely clean and unmarked apart from the occasional pencilled tick or correction. The quality of the paper used so soon after WW2 is quite poor, resulting in age tanning and light discolouration but overall the pages are in Good minus condition. There is a previous owner's name and address on the inside of the front board (this person is also listed as subscriber #31 that purchased the book when first published). The page edge block is tanned, from age and handling. The book boards are discoloured and have light staining to note (see scans). I do not know for sure but I strongly suspect that this book was published without a dustjacket. The binding is strong. Further scanned images are available on request. Approx.unpacked weight: 395g. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK: £3.00. Postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra. Please ask me for details.
