Up for bids is a bound volume of Deutsches Wochenschach for 1914, with excellent coverage of German and international chess events (including the famous St. Petersburg 1914 tournament), pagination is 1-428, title page in loose facsimile, original engraved portrait of Philidor (lightly worn at edges) loosely inserted with the first issue (January), index of pages 429-450 loosely supplied in facsimile. L/N 6054.
This volume is in very good condition, with attractive marbled page edges. Boards are clean, with light wear to corners, gilt title on spine, solid binding. Contents excellent.
