DESCRIPTION

MAGYAR SAKKTORTENET V.1 - Barcza Gedeon

Hungarian history of chess.

For a long time it was believed that the Turks brought the game to our country. However, this is a mistake, because the oldest trace of chess comes from 1335, the time of Robert Charles. She was the first Hungarian chess player by name, Beatrix from Aragon, wife of King Matthias. Famous chess players are professional chess players Móric Benyovszky, István Széchenyi, Ferenc Erkel, writer Lajos Nagy and many others.

We know many famous historical figures who loved chess. This was the case with Ferenc Deak.
