Stanisław Gawlikowski - Polish chess player, publicist and chess journalist. In his books he impressed not only with historical and practical knowledge, but also with the ability to present colorful descriptions. "Chess Olympiads" and "Fight for the Chess Throne", as well as outstanding theoretical works "The Theory of Debuts" and the two-volume "Final Chess Game" have entered the canon of Polish chess literature. Every December, the Stanisław Gawlikowski Rapid Chess Tournament takes place in Warsaw, in which the world's leading chess players participate.
