"The Chess Companion" by Irving Chernev. Published in hardback by Faber and Faber in 1974. 287pp. The book is in Very Good condition. The binding is tight and the book has no shelf lean. The internal pages are all very clean and unmarked. The book is inscription free and has no foxing. The page edge block has very mild age related discolouration to the top edge only. The dustjacket is also in Very Good condition and is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve. Games and positions are in English descriptive notation.
