About 100 autographs collected by David Gedult.

The famous David Gedult (1897-1981) used to collect autographs of grandmasters and other chess personalities. He collected all in a Russian book - Smyslov's Best games issued in Moscow 1952 (L/N 3360).

The autographs is written on three fulls pages including the title page (see scans). All autographs are not identified, but we recognize among others Smyslov, Botvinnik, Spassky, Karpov, Bronstein, Korchnoi, Averbakh, Kotov, Euwe, Najdorf, O'Kelly, Pachman, Ulf Andersson, Nunn, Miles, Stean, Mestel, Arpad E. Elo, Edmondson, Goichberg, Lombardy, Tarjan, Bellón, Helgi Ólafsson, Sigurjónsson, Byrne, Hildebrand, Brekke, Helmers, Hoen, Jan Adamski, Reitstein. 

A unique document. The book is in original brown hardback, with gilt print on cover and spine, contains 60 annotated games by Smyslov. Condition VG.
