1st Edn. Original cream cloth boards, some speckling on spine o/w VG. Portrait, 123pp., biography, 30 annotated games. Foxing on title & portrait. A very promising Dutch player who died of pneumonia when just 21. LN 3103.
SIGNED ON FRONT LEAF BY ALL TEN MEMBERS OF THE ENGLAND TEAM WHICH PLAYED HOLLAND IN APRIL 1947: Alexander, Milner-Barry, Broadbent, Crown, Thomas, G.Wood, BH Wood, Golombek, Abrahams, Ritson-Morry, and one more name I can't make out, but wasn't in the team.
