Small oblong volume (14 x 9cm) original brown cloth, gilt lettering, VG. Includes an explanation page in English, French and German, about 60 blank diagrams, one, two, or three sheets of each chess piece printed on tracing paper, the pieces of which can be removed and stuck on the blank diagrams. Some chess pieces have been removed from a few sheets. A rare and early example of "do-it-yourself" chess diagrams.
