1947 MIDLAND COUNTIES V CZECHOSLOVAKIA: Midland Counties Chess Union Jubilee Celebrations 16-19th June 1947. Birmingham. 4 page program, VG. Includes the names of both teams.
The back page has AUTOGRAPHS OF NINETEEN OF THE PLAYERS, including all eleven of the Czech team and 8 of the Midlands team.
There were 10 players in each team, plus one reserve for the Czechs and two reserves for Midlands. Czech players include Pachmann, Opocensky, Florian, Foltys, Kottnauer. Midlands players include Tylor, Ritson Morry, B.H.Wood, B.Reilly. The Czech team won the double round match 13.5-6.5.
