small photo size 12 x 9 cm
Good to very good: light signs of use. Pencil note „Tirano 1958“ on the back.
Ludek Pachman (?, left) and Max Ujtelky (?, right) are sitting at the first table. The photo is small, I only guess that it shows these players.
Biographical data:
Ludek Pachman (1924-2003), Czech GM, in 1940s and 1950s the best Czechoslovak player together with M. Filip, 7x Czechoslovak champion, German champion. He took part on many chess olympiads. Chess writer and theoretician. He won 2 games against Bobby Fischer in 1959.
Maxmilian (Max) Ujtelky, 1915-1979, Slovak IM, Czechoslovak co-champion in 1960, he was by the way a direct descendant of Hungarian composer Ferenc (Franz) Liszt.
