DESCRIPTION

"The Groningen International Chess Tournament, 1946" by Euwe and Kmoch. Published in hardback by CHESS, Sutton Coldfield in instalments between 1949-50. First Edition. 164 large pages. The book is in Good overall condition for its age. The internal pages are largely clean and unmarked apart from a penned squiggle on the title page (see scan). The remaining pages are tanned from age and have a strong vertical crease, showing that the pages were originally part of a posted magazine, back in the day. The book binding is strong and the boards are clean. The book was once owned by former English chess champion - Leonard Barden - and his faded pencil signature is on the first page of text (see scan). The page edge block is browned from age. Published without a dustjacket. Games are in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Approx.unpacked weight: 440g. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK: £2.50. Postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra. Please ask me for details.
