Two chess endings books: "The Endings, in modern theory and practice" by P.C.Griffiths (published in hardback by Bell & Sons in 1976. First Edition. 176pp) and "Practical Chess Endings" by Irving Chernev (published in hardback by Faber & Faber in 1962. First Edition. 318pp). The Griffiths book is in Good+ condition. There is no foxing to the page edge block (but there is tanning and light handling marks to note) and the internal pages are all clean and unmarked although lightly tanned, from age only. There is a previous owner's name on the front endpaper and some light pencil annotations, which will erase. The dustjacket is in Very Good condition. Positions ( in both books) are in English descriptive notation. The Chernev book and dustjacket are in similar condition to the Griffiths book. Both dustjackets are now protected by removable see-through sleeves. Further scanned images are available on request. Approx.unpacked weight: 905g. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK: £3.00. Postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra. Please ask me for details.
