Seven vintage of issues of "Chess World" from 1948. They are: Vol 3 (Feb, April, June, Aug, Sept, Oct and Nov 1948). All are in Good Plus condition apart from the June issue which has a small piece missing from the bottom of each internal page and also the rear cover (see scan). The pages of the Feb, April and June issues have tanned due to the poorer quality of paper used in publication. The other magazines used glossy paper which remains in very clean condition. The magazines appear to be annotation and inscription free. These magazines are from an iconic chess magazine (the successor to the Australasian Chess Review) published by the great C.J.S. Purdy and are scarce and collectible. Each magazine has around 24 pages. Games and positions are in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Approx.unpacked weight 235g. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £2.00. Postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra. Please ask me for details.
