Berlin, Verlag von Julius Springer, 1870-1871. Leather half marbled binding with golden prints of the Title and years in the spine. VIII Index pages (including Title page) + 384 pages + VIII Index pages (including Title page) + 388 pages. Bound without covers (I guess the numbers were published with covers, but I can't confirm it 100%), although the front and back covers of the year 1870 are present (perhaps an annual cover, since no monthly reference appears, although on the front cover Schachstudie 31 appears, from page 384 of the December issue, although neither monthly reference nor numbers appear in the inside pages, only in the Index), as well as the front and back covers of the year 1871 (on the front cover appears problem 832, from page 246 of the July-August issue). 23,2 x 16,9 cm. In German.

Good to very good: Binding with slight dirt, and some light rubbing (especially on the edges with tiny breaks in some area and spine), although in general the condition of the binding is very good. Normal browning in edges. The first safeguard is folded vertically in half, hiding a text that may have some interest. Some slight wrinkle inside. Slight stain on the front cover of the year 1870, in its central part near the spine. Only the year 1871 has any damage worth mentioning. Pages 107-108 of the year 1871 with a fold that has caused a slight break in its upper part. Very small break in the outer lateral edge of pages 317-320 of the year 1871. Foxing spots, more pronounced in some pages, in the final part of the year 1871, practically in all of pages 321-388. Some damage to the back cover of 1871, with some slight break in its edges, a somewhat more important break in the upper edge, and some dirt. A curious spot on the outer side edge of most pages, which can only be seen clearly with direct light. In general, a pleasant volume of reading and having in your hands.
