Hecht. Rochaden.
The well-known German grandmaster reviews six decades of his chess life from the 1950s to the present day. From his beginnings in divided Berlin over his years as a chess professional in Solingen and in a Bundesliga club in Munich, Hajo Hecht describes every stage of his chess career and many anecdotes alongside the 64 fields. The book is richly illustrated with black and white and color photos. The sometimes by fate, sometimes deliberately made changes in his life have inspired him to the title "Rochaden", with the final chapter "Chess and Holidays" characterizes a climax that many can only dream of: a variety of trips not only in Europe and America but also to Australia and New Zealand. Around 200 of his annotated games and many other game positions form the chess of this unique autobiography of a German chess grandmaster.
