Praha, 1945-1946. Orig. publisher's soft binding. Issues 26-50, 100 pages (numbered 101-200). Size 29 cm. 470 grams. In Czech. LN-, Di Felice-, Soukup 15, Mokry 258.

Good: the cover is somewhat soiled, spine is a little damaged. Pages are browned by age as usual, some pages have small horizontal centre fold. Text with no writings, except a few pen notes on page 101.

The Prague „Zpravy“ is a chess magazine of Prague district, editor master Karel Prucha, mimeographed on cheap paper, published without covers weekly or bi-weekly in 1945-1949. One issue has 4 pages of large size printed on rectos only. In all, 5 volumes were published. The magazine contains games and news from Prague chess district as well as from other districts of the Czechoslovak Chess Union.

This volume 2 brings news, tournament and match results, and more than 50 annotated games. Most of this information is hardly available from other sources.

According to the publisher's information (eg Zpravy no.75 of 11 February 1947, page 300), each of the first three volumes was also softbound in one book and published in 20 copies. This is one of these volumes.

The volume is complete, 25 issues numbered 26-50 with 4 pages each, title/index not issued.
