Beautiful original publisher linen edition, with Title embossed on the front cover and on the spine, with dustjacket. 240 pages (including Title page and portrait of Philidor in last unnumbered page). 21,8 x 15,5 cm. In German, English and French, there is even a chapter is a poem in Latin. Printed on high quality paper.
Very good to excellent: Dust jacket slightly brushed especially at the edges. Faint signature or dedication with pencil (probably easily erasable) on the Title Page. Some slight annotation with blue ink on pages 127, 188, 190, 193 (only on this page is something longer), 198 and 218.
Honestly, it is a spectacular book about Philidor, with a great photo report.
The Author is Secretary General of the Philidorian Studies Society. The author's paternal grandmother was the great-granddaughter of the immortal Philidor.
Book sold out and currently with very expensive prices on the Internet, exceeding 100 EUR, and even a copy sells for more than 300 EUR.
