DESCRIPTION

Jerzy Moraś, Zbigniew Tyszkiewicz - 50 lat Turnieju Szachowego o "ZŁOTĄ WIEŻĘ" - 2009.

(50 years of the Golden Tower chess tournament).

The book presents the oldest chess event in Poland. However, not only because of his age deserves respect. The "Golden Tower" met the social demand for cultural and sport entertainment, covering the whole country. It was established by Romuald Frey and Michał Kierczyński, who in 1958 initiated the competition of poviat teams for the cup of "Dziennik Ludowy". In 1967, the "Golden Tower" was introduced to the sporting events calendar of the Polish Chess Federation.
